Biden admin announces next steps in overhauling Betsy DeVos’ Title IX rules [including sexual misconduct cases]

[news.yahoo.com – 4/6/21]

The Education Department announced plans Tuesday to hold a public hearing on how schools ought to handle sexual misconduct cases as the first step in a planned overhaul of Title IX regulations.

In a letter released by the Education Department, the hearing is described as a chance for students, parents, school officials and advocates to weigh in before the Biden administration offers its proposal for how K-12 schools and colleges receiving public funding must respond to allegations of sexual assault and harassment. The department has not yet announced a timeline for the hearing but plans to share more details in the coming weeks. The hearing will occur over multiple days and include a virtual component, a department official said.

After the hearing, the department intends to begin a formal process known as “proposed rule-making” to rewrite the Title IX rules, which would include another round of public comments.

But, no public comment period or hearing when they change the rules on us?

If they don’t want campuses to be courtrooms, then turn matters over to the local authorities for processing as they should for off campus matters in addition to on campus matters. My state college campus did.

State public campuses aren’t sovereign lands like native lands or even military installations, governed under a different title for its military members, but those funded by state and federal funds with the need for Constitutional due process regardless for all parties. Private campuses need the same due process regardless of the funding source which undoubtedly has some which comes from state and federal too.

I’ll be sending comments in to the SecEd directly as well as my Congressionally elected officials in WDC.

What about this one here:

Is this how prosecutors intent on “wrapping up” THEIR misconduct? By sealing autopsy records? So now an alleged victim will become just a name on paper?

Marsy’s LIE is getting out of hand…

Ah, more rules by fiat. Just what a law abiding conflict needs to perpetuate itself with spiraling negative outcomes.

Is it just a coincidence, but since the democrats have taken over it seems like there is an all out assault on people on the registry. The past couple of years we were getting quite a bit of positive news and a number of victories, but in the last few months it just seems like one attack after another, one more unconstitutional affront, one more oppressive law. I thought the democrats were supposed to be the party of the the people, the little guy, and stand for civil rights and equality. It has been nothing but bad news for three months.

It’s both parties that have sold out the American people for their special interests!! They care about the money coming in from lobbyists and do the bidding for whatever fills their pockets the deepest. Most Americans will vote for a candidate with a D or R behind their name regardless of their policies.
